Disaster Relief
The Disaster Relief Unit (DRU) is a self-sustaining emergency shelter that can be shipped anywhere in the world and arrive turn-key, ready for habitation. After a disaster, infrastructure may have suffered significant damage, and can be inaccessible. There may not be power, water, or sewage systems in place. The DRU provides all support functions needed to sustain life.
Power is created via solar panels with 1000 amp hours of battery for power back-up, and virtually any water source can be used with the DRU. It contains an on-board water filtration system which filters water down to .2 microns, and UV sterilizes, eliminating many potential pathogens. Sewage is bio-remediated before leaving the DRU, eliminating the need for underground transport and large sterilization facilities.
The DRU sleeps four and has bathroom and kitchen facilities. The DRU sleeps four, and has bathroom and kitchen facilities. Using different configurations, we can also provide solutions for clinics, schools and mobile response coordination units.
